Ben Shephard: “Krypton Factor really infuriating”
|
GMTV presenter Ben Shephard has said he’d struggle with many of the challenges if he was a contestant on the new version of The Krypton Factor.
The 34-year-old is hosting an updated format of the show on New Year’s Day, and told The Press Association he would get “really infuriated” if he had to tackle the mentally taxing challenges.
He said: “They are really difficult. They are the sort of tests that you sit down and think, 'I will have a go at that,' and then after about half an hour you just get really infuriated, or I do, and end up throwing them on the floor and storming off.”
He went on to say he was “excited” about the new-look show: “I think there's a lot of expectation about it because everybody knows the series, but those expectations, which are going to be so high, are no higher than our own expectations.
"We want this show to live up to the standards of the original series and hopefully surpass it in terms of ability when it comes to using technology and all of those sort of things, so it's really exciting."
The Krypton Factor is being broadcast on ITV1 at 5.30pm New Year’s Day.
